Dominion Power (paving)Ruston Paving was recently contracted by Prestige Construction Group to pave an access road and parking area for the new Gas Transmission Building at Dominion Power’s Leesburg site. Our crews worked tirelessly to complete the project before some severe storms ripped through the area.

Auto Zone (Chapel Hill)Ruston Paving has been hard at work as our construction season is in full swing across all our divisions. Recently, our Durham crews set to work on a new AutoZone in Chapel Hill. Contracted by first-time customer, HJB Construction, this project required quite a bit of both onsite and road work, and our crews were ready for the job.

With the milling complete, new asphalt installed, and pavement markings in place, this brand new AutoZone store is looking spick and span for its first customers.

Acco Brands (paving)Ruston Paving was contracted directly by Acco Brands, Inc. to mill and pave their employee parking lot. We were also able to correct some drainage issues that plagued this warehouse facility for the Illinois-based company, which makes three-ring binders, folders and document covers. Both our paving and grading crews were very helpful and professional to our contacts at Acco, which was much appreciated.  We offered suggestions to them on other ways to improve their parking lot outside of what the plans called for and they were grateful for our ideas.

There may even be a second phase to this project because of the fantastic work our crews did on the first phase.  Great job to everyone who had a hand in this project!

Fort Lee Baptist ChurchRuston Paving was contacted directly by the Fort Lee Baptist Church, near the Richmond Airport, to reconstruct its parking lot.  A church representative gave us numerous compliments on the crews’ professionalism, work ethic, and safety measures.  He made a point to say that both our foremen took the time to answer his questions in the field and treated him with respect and courtesy, even when they were in the middle of something.  This type of courtesy goes a long way, and it did not go unnoticed.  Hats off to the crews – you are what sets us apart from our competition!

Cookout (finished)Ruston Paving was contracted by Qualified Builders to pave the new Cook Out restaurant in Mechanicsville.  We have completed numerous projects with Qualified Builders out of our Durham North Carolina division and are excited to extend the relationship into Virginia.

This project was on a fast track schedule and the crews worked above and beyond to get the job completed.  Nice work by everyone involved!

Seneca County Courthouse (paving)Ruston Paving completed the paving on a multi-year reconstruction project at the Seneca County Courthouse. The general contractor, Frank J. Marianacci, needed our crews to install the asphalt binder and top course once the building renovations were finished.

Constructed between 1845 and 1860, the three government buildings that comprise the Seneca County Courthouse Complex are considered an architectural landmark. To most, however, they are known as The Three Bears.

Paving Chittenango High SchoolOur Syracuse crews took advantage of the fact that the Chittenango Central School District was on spring break to repave the high school. Ruston Paving was entrusted with the task of performing a complete 85,000 sq. ft. mill and overlay within the one-week break. This student/employee parking lot and the school’s bus loop had a whole new look by the time class was back in session. Though they were battling some April showers, our Syracuse crews did a magnificent job of working efficiently to complete this task on time.

Fastrac Liverpool (paving)Ruston Paving revisited a customer this week, sending one of our Syracuse paving crews to the Fastrac Cafe at Moyers Corners in Liverpool. Back in 2000, we paved the original lot for this store’s grand opening.

Presently, the store is undergoing renovations to their building and the owners decided it was a prime time to touch up areas of the parking lot as well.

Ruston Paving - Durham Yard (milling)Ruston Paving Durham Yard (paving)

Crews in our Durham division recently milled and installed a new surface course of asphalt in the parking lots of our Durham offices.  At Ruston Paving, we pride ourselves on our image and reputation, and part of upholding these values is ensuring our own lot is well-maintained.  Now employees can enjoy first-hand the fruits of their labor, and prospective clients can get a first hand look at the high quality of work we have to offer.

Hatcher LoftsOne of our paving crews is seen here installing the asphalt pavement for the new development called Hatcher Flats. The new apartment complex is located in Manchester, near downtown Richmond.  Ruston Paving was contracted by Hercules Contracting, who was working for Genesis Properties.  Our crew did a fantastic job of finishing the work before the bad weather set in.
